The Brothers Keeper Ministry started in November 2006 after our return from the Works of Power Men's Retreat. My heart was for the men that were encouraged and lifted up that weekend. Once a year seemed too long to meet with them again. The Brother’s Keeper Ministry is an extension of the Men's Retreat. This group of men meet every quarter to encourage and lift each other up in the Lord.

The scriptures tell us to "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Galations 6:2. When the The Lord asked Cain "… 'Where [is]Abel your brother?' He said, 'I do not know. [Am] I my brother's keeper?'" Genesis 4:9. May our response not be like Cain's: "Am I my Brothers Keeper?" Instead the Lord calls us to answer him: "We are our brothers keeper".

We started this ministry with this concept in mind and it has been a forum for fellowship, encouragement, accountability and great breakthroughs through the Spirit of the Lord. It has been a great opportunity to keep connected with the brother’s who attend the Men’s Retreat in the fall. Our prayer is that the Lord continues to use this ministry to encourage the men.
